Parents can be as broke as a church mouse, but they’ve got to keep their cool. A hot-tempered parent is a kid’s worst nighmare. It’s a recipe for a lifetime of self-doubt, cowardice, and the crippling fear of ever asking for anything. These kids grow up thinking they’re a burden, too scared to speak up for themselves, or even complain when they’ve been wronged.
